The darkness
All engulfing
Our constant companion
Seems to have fled

In a sprint
In a run
It has taken cover
For the light is coming

The time for darkness
Is over
Our souls light
And carefree

Oh the joy
The happiness
The irreplaceable feeling of serenity
And peace
Has arrived

The light
Not a spark
Not a flame
An all engulfing blaze

We find warmth
And comfort in his embrace
The force so strong
Yet ever peaceful

Mends the hearts
Of the strongest fighters
The good
The bad
He is always there

With his passing
The light seems to have diminished
The sorrow replacing it
Darkness clouding our vision

Our bodies shells
Hollow
Filled with nothingness
Walking around in a haze

We try to grasp
What has happened
Unexplainable
Unbelievable

Lost in a maze
Confusion and sadness
Clouding our mind
Clearness a far away notion

Grief stricken
Tears uncontrollable
Falling freely
And quickly

But with the coming tide
We see a flame
In the distance
Not a light

Nearing quickly
The flame evolving
Quickly into a blaze
We are not lost

Our grief ebbing away
We remember the love
A love irreplaceable
Inconceivable

An unforgettable light
A person incomparable
Though he may have left us
He is ever present in our hearts

A promise is made
To never forget him
His smile
Full of warmth and joy
Eyes full of the light we yearn

For without him
We are simply lost souls
Walking this earth
In a constant haze

Without a true purpose
Or goal
We know of naught
And think of little

Thus we promise
To never forget him
His lessons
And forever hold him in our hearts
