“Zikr yani yaad karvu, ‘to remember’ ane zakkir yani koi ne yaad dilavu- ‘to remind’. Qurane majid ma beve lafz aaya che. Tame yaad karo ane beesra ne yaad dilavo.”
– Kalemaat Nooraniyah 1437H
The Ashara Mubaraka 1437H AAYAAT painting collection
Is a humble attempt to do zikr of the 9 majaalis al-wa’az conducted by al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS in Houston last year.
Each piece of art is a representation of the 9 Aayaat shareefah that formed the thematic basis of each of the 9 majaalis al wa’az.
The artist has skillfully blended light strokes of paint and bold Arabic calligraphic compositions of the Aayaat shareefah. Together, they represent the human mind: fleeting thoughts that are bound to the canvas of our souls by the powerful, sacred words of the Quran, ultimately bringing back the essence of what might have been forgotten.
Join us on Saturday 1st Oct -Pehli Raat after Majlis and Sunday 2nd Oct-Pehli Tareekh -between 12pm to 2 pm at the TROPHY ROOM – MASJID COMPLEX to view the complete collection.
Reprints are available for purchase.
