Foreword Fatema A.
Tasneem A. is a 25 year old artist, illustrator and graphic designer from Mumbai who is inspired by gorgeous pink sunsets, mischievous children, magic, dark nights, bright stars and other whimsies.
After working in an Ad Agency for 2 years after graduation, Tasneem quit her job to pursue what she loves the most- illustration.
She has worked for projects like Taxi Fabric, Google Hangouts, illustrated picture books for Scholastic India for authors such a as Ruskin Bond. She has been listed as one of the top 100 women illustrators in India.
Apart from that, she has been featured on BuzzFeed, The Sunday Guardian, Bombay Times, Hindustan Times, Homegrown, Elle Magazine, Polka Cafe, Art and Found and many such platforms.
Foreword:
In a time and age where illustrators and designers are flooding my instagram and facebook in the dozens, it is with difficulty I can tell their work apart from one another. It is even rarer to come across someone whose art enchants you, and you want to soak up all their work and more. Tasneem ben is a recent muse of mine.
Her pieces captivate me like nothing before. I still remember the first illustration I came across by her, a woman clad in rida, dangling from the edge of a crescent moon, alarmed at her falling shoe. The charm doesn’t stop at her whimsical imagination, but oh my god the colors. A composition that elicits nothing but euphoria.
